About Us

Camp Paws offers boutique pet care services in Melbourne, from hosting pets in the Carer's home, house and pet sitting in the clients home, doggy day care, dog walks, home visits and more. We may mention dogs a lot, but Camp Paws does not discriminate against any pet type. We love all animals and have experience caring for cats, horses, alpacas, fish, reptiles, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, hamsters, turtles, bearded dragons and lots of chooks!

We're based in Diamond Creek, Victoria and serve the greater Melbourne area. Please get in touch so we can discuss how the team can best meet your needs.

How We Came To Be

In 2018, I was unexpectedly made redundant from a senior corporate role. As I considered my next steps as a single mum, I decided a change of pace, a better work life balance and doing something I loved everyday, that fitted a little better with my mum role, would be perfect. As it happened, around the same time, my son Will and I cared for a friend’s pup (Merlot the Kelpie) whilst the family were away on holiday. We had a great time and sent lots of photos to Merlot’s Mum and Dad every day to show what a great time she was having.

A few months later, when I visited my family overseas, Merlot’s family returned the favour. The daily updates I received were a source of reassurance and enabled me to still feel connected to my beloved pup Annie, whilst away.

The seed was planted and I was sure there must be other families who would like their precious pets cared for in a family home rather than a kennel or cattery. Not long after, I saw a Facebook post, another family was looking for someone who would consider caring for their pups for a weekend…...Camp Paws was born.

Over the years, Camp Paws has gone from strength to strength and grown into a thriving five star boutique pet care business with a loyal customer following, which is increasing exponentially. We have a team of amazing Camp Paws Carers who care for pets in either their own home or in the home of the client. We provide a wide range of services and I am very proud of what we have created.

At Camp Paws we value and are passionate about:

  • Being animal lovers (not a little bit, a lot!)
  • Being honest, responsible and trustworthy
  • Valuing strong communication
  • Have great respect for the work they do and who they work for

Meet Some Of Our Team

Angie with her Border Collie, Bonnie

Angie with her Border Collie BonnieI have been an animal lover my whole life and love meeting new pups, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, you name it! I have had pets from the moment I could walk and love to wake up to a cuddle and a play. I currently have a cat (Nala) and a dog (Bonnie) who are a little spoiled and honestly loved more than my own human family.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Science and aspire to be a vet in the future. A career in animal welfare is my dream and working at Camp Paws is the first step. Caring for animals brings me such joy and I would love to get to know you and your pets!

P.S. Also of note, Angie (aka Angelique is our Customer Experience Coordinator for Camp Paws). She's busy responding to your enquiries, booking your pets in for care and helping handle the day to day, so that Camp Paws can put your pets happiness first.

I am a massive animal lover and I absolutely adore having the opportunity to meet a huge variety of pets with so many personalities! I can’t imagine a life without animals as I’ve always had pets to come home and cuddle with at the end of a hard day.

At the moment I have two dogs, two cats, and 3 horses of my own. One of my favourite activities is taking my dogs to the beach because they absolutely love it, especially in summer when I can swim with them!

I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Science and hoping to complete the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in a few years time.  I want to spend a lifetime caring for animals and I’m so glad to be a part of Camp Paws where I can do this.

Caitlin with one of her own best friends

Caitlan holding one of her fur babies in her armsMy name is Caitlin and I’m so proud to be a Camp Paws Carer since 2020.

I am a fully qualified veterinary nurse and currently work at a wonderful clinic. This, combined with my clients at Camp Paws, as well as my own fur babies, makes animals pretty much my entire life!

My favourite part about being on the Camp Paws team is making special connections with my wonderful clients and their animals. Being able to provide quality care and peace of mind, while owners step away, is so rewarding. I also have knowledge and experience with a range of different species and breeds, and treat every animal as if they were my own.

At home, I have five dogs and one rescue cat, who are all my world. I also love spending time with my lovely family and friends, exploring nature, going to the gym, playing tennis and netball, getting creative with art, and caring for my many houseplants.

Molly with her pup

I have extensive experience with horses, dogs, cats, Guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, goats, alpacas and turtles.

Horses are my passion with 2 of my own and my certificate II in Equine Studies.

I recently completed my bachelors degree and have been with Camp Paws for the last year. Getting to know and care for such an array of animals is such a joy and a privilege.

I have successfully completed a certificate II in Animal Studies and a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Studies.

In order to compliment these courses I spent two years volunteering with Pets Haven and Guide Dogs Victoria.

Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember and I have recently added to my family when I adopted Spirit, a beautiful black Labrador cross.

Family and friends are most important to me and my clients at Camp Paws definitely become part of my extended family. I have been with the Camp Paws team since December 2019 and also currently work at Petbarn.

Ben with his fur babies Lola and CocoBen holding Lola and Coco

I live with my wife Danielle and our fur babies Lola (spoodle) and Coco (poodle), and together we would love to walk and care for your pets whilst you are away.

A few years ago Danielle and I discovered Camp Paws as pet owners who were in need of support for our girls and just loved the service provided. The team took exceptional care of our girls and now we are thrilled to be a part of the fantastic CP family.

We have lived in Diamond Creek for 6 years and I love taking Lola and Coco for their daily walks or to the park or an oval to socialise with other people and meet their dogs. I also love sport, reading, entertaining friends and family and travelling when we can. I currently work at Chemist Warehouse as an inwards forklift driver on afternoon shift and with the help of Danielle, I am able to also work as a Camp Paws Carer semi professionally. I hope to work full time with Camp Paws in the future. I am available to care for your pup in my home and I also walk many pups whilst their humans are at work or away on holiday. I hope to see you and your fur babies soon.
