Camp Paws Carer Positions
Are you passionate about animals and are a responsible, trustworthy and honest person? Looking for a side hustle, passion project or just generally love pets? Well, come and enjoy the vibe as a Camp Paws Carer. Camp Paws offers boutique pet services, from hosting pets in the carers home, pet and house sitting in the clients home, doggy day care, dog walks, home visits and more. We mention dogs a lot, but Camp Paws does not discriminate against any type of pet. We love all animals and have experience caring for cats, horses, alpacas, fish, reptiles, guinea pigs, rats, rabbits, hamsters, turtles, bearded dragons and lots of chooks!
The best way to describe what a Camp Paws carer does, is provide some examples of not so typical pet care:
- Anna and her family are heading to Europe for an extended family holiday. Anna has a dog, Charlie, a cat Mr Tee, a horse Meridan and three chickens. As their pet and house sitter you will be required to provide Charlie with lots of TLC and a nice long walk every day. The chickens will need their grain and water topping up every second day (you might score some eggs for breakfast) and Meridan will need some fresh hay morning and night and his water checked daily. Mr Tee is a scaredy cat but will need daily feeds and his litter cleaned every day.
- Fiona has broken her arm and needs help walking Scout and Lucy her beloved Labradors, for a few weeks whilst she heals. They will need walks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday. They will be in the back garden waiting for you at mid-day and their leads will be on the table. You would have to be confident walking bigger pups as Scout as he can be reactive on a lead.
- Sam and his family are heading to the snow for the weekend. They need a carer to care for Tommy and Boss, their cheeky Jack Russell’s, from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening in the carers home. They will need a walk each day and fed twice a day. They are both great with other dogs but not so keen on kids so they must remain on lead at all times.
- Arlo's Mum is a Dr and has some really long days at the hospital. On these days she is looking for day care and there will be very little notice. Whilst Arlo is in your care, he will need a walk each day. He is great off lead so you could have some great adventures together.
- Sharon and her family love spending time at their caravan at the beach. Whilst they are away they need a carer to provide care for Teddy their Labrador and also Dash their Siamese pussy cat. They will need a carer to stay overnight and take Teddy for a walk each day. Both Teddy and Dash will require feeding twice a day and some belly rubs.
